The COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented challenges to the food and beverage industry. State and local governments developed with new rules and regulations on the fly. Then it has been up to the restaurants and bars (and the distributors who serve them) to navigate the new rules and apply for permits to stay open, all while keeping their employees safe, and trying to stay in business. The panelists will discuss the permitting processes under the new COVID regulations, and industry experiences about what has worked and what hasn’t.
Topics
- New permitting schemes from cities
- Safety of employees
- Employment law ramifications
- Changes to outdoor dining laws in cities
