The Barristers Club of the Bar Association of San Francisco invites new California bar-passers to an in-person celebration and swearing-in ceremony. Space is limited at this event and registration will close when the event reaches capacity.

Oath Card Note: Your completed and signed State Bar oath card must be turned in at the registration tables at the event. Download and print your oath card for signature. See this document for instructions from the state bar on how to do this. Follow the instructions for physical signature (pg. 5). More information about the steps required prior to printing the oath card can be found here.
Prior to coming to the event, please complete Attorney Registration Information section and Licensee subsection of the Attorney Oath section of the oath card. Please date your oath card June 2, 2026. The Bar Association of San Francisco will send the signed cards to the California State Bar office for you and email you a copy of the completed and signed oath card for your records.
Please note that you cannot be sworn in at this event if you do not bring your printed oath card.

Cost
Free to attend for any attorney who has newly passed the California Bar Exam and wishes to be sworn in.
Registration is required. Space is limited (2 Guests Limit - email barristers@sfbar.org their full contact information).

Program Access
This is an in-Person program only. Virtual access will not be available. Program recordings are not guaranteed and/or included with this registration, nor immediately accessible to registrants. Approved recordings of live programs are converted to On-Demand Courses and available for separate purchase through a third-party library 30 business days after the live recording.
Attending Programs
This event may be filmed or photographed. By participating in this event, you consent to have your likeness used for the BASF/JDC’s archival purposes and promotional materials. If you do not want to be photographed, please inform a BASF/STAFF person or the photographer.
Substitution, Cancellation, and Refund Requests
For CLE events of 1.5 hours or less, Lunch & Learn programs, Happy Hours, Receptions, and Mixers, a refund is available if you submit your cancellation request at least 48 hours prior to the event. A $10 handling fee will be deducted from your refund. Please complete the Event Cancellation Form.
For CLE events longer than 1.5 hours, and for special events such as conferences, symposiums, professional development training programs, a 50% refund is available if you cancel at least 10 business days prior to the event. Please complete the Event Cancellation Form.
If you are unable to attend, you may send a substitute. Please complete the Event Cancellation Form.
