Concerns have been raised that artificial intelligence, as it proliferates across all sectors and multiple applications, can perpetuate bias rather than eliminate it. How can an organization seek to eliminate bias when adopting AI or other automated solutions that process personal data in contexts with significant impact on individuals (e.g., algorithms that help with decisions around hiring, housing, credit or criminal sentencing)? This session will outline technical, organizational, and legal strategies for debiasing AI.
