California finally has a virtual representation statute! But what does that mean, exactly? And how can it be useful to our practice? This presentation begins with understanding what virtual representation is and why California needs it. The presenters will then review the new statute in detail and will cover its practical applicability and its possible pitfalls. The presenters will also explore how to logistically use the new statute, including incorrect usage and the resulting consequences.
