Although winning asylum is a major achievement, it does not automatically qualify your client for Permanent Residence. This webinar is meant to provide an overview of an Adjustment of Status application, the final step to permanent residence for an asylee. The presentation will include an update on current USCIS policy and fees, inadmissibility waivers if necessary, processing times, what to expect at an AOS interview, and how to address possible scenarios that may arise during the pendency of an application.

Topics

  • Current USCIS policy regarding AOS for asylees,
  • How to show 1-yr physical presence
  • AOS Bundle fees
  • Waivers
  • The types of pitfalls to avoid when applying
  • What to expect at an interview, and
  • How to respond to common types of RFEs
