How do I register for an event?

  1. To register for an event, Sign In to your user account.
  2. Once you sign in, click the "Register Myself" button toward the bottom of the page containing the event details.
  3. The event will now be added to your Cart and your BASF membership or other discounts will be automatically applied.
  4. You may check out now to complete your registration, or continue browsing the Events List for additional programs.
  5. If your event includes multiple program items (e.g. a conference with multiple tracks), you may make those selections after clicking the Register Myself button.
  6. When you are ready to finalize your registration, select the shopping cart icon at the top of the page.
  7. Add your payment information and select Submit Order.
  8. You will be able to add the event to your personal calendar, and an event confirmation and receipt will be emailed to you.

I am having trouble signing in to my account.

  1. If you have a BASF username and password, you may use this information to Sign In to this site.
  2. Your Password must be a minimum of 7 characters. If your current password is fewer than 7 characters, it must be reset. Click the Forgot Password link to start this process.
  3. If you have forgotten your Username or Password, select the Forgot Username or Forgot Password links.
  4. If you don't have a user account, select "Create Account" at the top of the page. 
  5. If you still have trouble signing in, please email basfmemberservices@sfbar.org.

How do I cancel an event registration?

  1. If you have not yet completed the check out process, you may simply remove the event from your cart. Click the shopping cart icon at the top of the screen, and click "Remove" next to any event registration.
  2. If you have already registered for the event, you can complete the online Event Cancellation Form. When completing the form, you will have the option to designate an alternate attendee or cancel your registration. Depending on the event and when you cancel, some cancelation fees may apply. Please check your event receipt for details about the cancellation policy.

Can I send a substitute in my place if I cannot attend an event that I registered for?

  1. To send a substitute, please complete the online Event Cancellation Form and select the “Send a Substitute Attendee in My Place” option.
  2. You will need the substitute’s first and last name, as well as his/her email address. 
  3. Once processed, your substitute will receive an email confirmation of his/her registration.
